West Ham supporters are up in arms after their side put out a hapless showing against Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.

In the early kick-off, the London side hosted Enzo Maresca's Blues. But they were duly torn apart by their city rivals, with fans aghast.

Guardian reporter Jacob Steinberg tweeted after the 3-0 defeat: "Lopetegui is under massive pressure already. Every game has seen West Ham play with no structure, plan, energy, guile. Today it’s been properly exposed.

"It was time to move on from Moyes but for this? This isn’t a refresh. It’s worse than before."

Chelsea astutely won the game, with a Nicholas Jackson brace and a goal by Cole Palmer. Maresca's side earned 2.34 xG to West Ham's 0.87, highlighting a poor showing for the Irons.

And supporters have had enough of their head coach Lopetegui, with some imploring the board to make the former Real Madrid boss the first managerial casualty of the season.
