English boxing promoter Frank Warren says that Brazil legend Neymar is going to join Arsenal!

Neymar was present at the IBO World Middleweight title fight between Chris Eubank Jr and Kamil Szeremeta in Saudi Arabia.

Seated next to Warren during the fight, the legendary English boxing promoter cheekily announced on camera that Neymar would be signing for Arsenal.

“He’s coming to England. He’s going to come and play for Arsenal. We need you, we need you!,” Warren said.

Neymar laughed off the comment before giving Warren a hug.

It should be noted that Warren is a big Arsenal fan, and there is nothing to suggest that any negotiations are in place for the Gunners to sign the Brazilian.

Neymar will be available on a free transfer at the end of the current season when his contract at Al-Hilal expires.

The 32-year-old became one of the headline signings of the Saudi Arabian revolution during the summer of 2023, which saw him move to Al-Hilal from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of €90 million.

However, disaster struck soon after the move when he suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament injury.

He has been out of action for a year but is closing in on a return to action.

Neymar’s career at PSG

Neymar smashed the world transfer record when PSG paid his €222 million release clause in the summer of 2017 to buy him from Barcelona.

The Brazilian moved to Paris hoping to escape Lionel Messi’s shadow in order to become the best player in the world.

However, the attacker has failed to live up to his price-tag and has been plagued by injuries and declining form over recent years.

He still managed 118 goals in 173 appearances for PSG, as well as a host of domestic trophies.

His career has declined further since leaving PSG, and a move to Arsenal seems very unlikely.

Neymar is Brazil’s all-time record goalscorer with 79 goals in 128 games.
