Manchester United and Chelsea are very keen on Tyler Dibling, according to reports.

CaughtOffside claim that a number of clubs are looking at the Southampton ace, including Newcastle, Tottenham, Aston Villa and West Ham.

The Saints are languishing in 20th place in the Premier League table, picking up just five points. Relegation appears to be a likely outcome unless something changes for them very soon.

And if this was the case and Southampton do drop down the Championship, the club would struggle to keep hold of some of their most important players, such as Dibling.

The England Under-21 international is to be one of Southampton's best players and it's thought that the club "are adamant they don’t want to sell Dibling, even though they’re currently struggling in the Premier League."

Interestingly though, the report states that Southampton have set an asking price of at least €25 million for the midfielder, which is peanuts when you consider his age and the English tax.

How good is Tyler Dibling?

Dibling made his senior debut for Southampton against Gillingham in August 2023, but he only featured once during the club’s promotion-winning season from the Championship.

However, Russell Martin decided to immediately hand him a first-team role upon the Saints’ promotion back to the Premier League.

Dibling won a penalty against Man Utd on his first top-flight start, while he scored his first senior goal during a 1-1 draw versus Ipswich Town on 21 September.

After receiving the ball from Adam Lallana inside the Ipswich penalty area, Dibling produced a sublime first touch to take the ball past Jacob Greaves and he slotted the ball into the bottom corner with effortless panache.

After his performance against the Tractor Boys, Southampton boss Martin told Times Series: “He can do things that not many other players I’ve ever seen can do. I love working with him. I love watching him play.

“I would pay a lot of money to watch him play football. And, fortunately, I’m the guy that gets to work with him and try to develop him.”

Dibling has started nine of the 14 Premier League games Southampton have had so far this season.
