Arsenal given MAJOR boost in pursuit of Sesko alternative
Arsenal could be given a massive opportunity to sign a striker before the January window closes after being told one of their top targets is available for transfer this month.
The Gunners are in the market for a forward after seeing Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka suffer long-term injuries, leaving Mikel Arteta short staffed in attack.

A number of Arsenal’s targets have proven unattainable in recent times, with Newcastle pricing Alexander Isak out of a move and RB Leipzig refusing to negotiate for Benjamin Sesko.
The situation has left Arsenal pursuing alternatives up front and their search had led them to Evan Ferguson, who Brighton have been keen on finding a loan move for.
However, The Athletic are now reporting that Brighton are open to permanently selling Ferguson this month following interest from the likes of West Ham and Bayer Leverkusen.
A loan with an option to buy could prove ideal for Arsenal due to their PSR constraints, with the potential to permanently sign Ferguson a tempting proposition for Arteta as he seeks his long-term solution up front.
Brighton ready to cash in on Ferguson with interest high
Ferguson is highly-rated at Brighton and was once valued at more than €100 million, however a host of injuries in recent times have stunted the 20-year-old’s development.
Having begun last season with six goals in the first 12 Premier League games, Ferguson suffered a six-month injury, leading to a run of 11 months without finding the back of the net.

The Irish forward has started just two games this season and Brighton were hoping to loan him out for more first team football, leading to ‘widespread’ interest from sides across England and Europe.
But, having already turned down a permanent bid for Ferguson, Brighton are now open to his departure for the right price while the youngster’s value remains high.
Ferguson’s contract expires in 2029 and Marseille have been the latest club to register an interest in him but Arsenal could be the favourites if they make a move, with Arteta aware of the striker’s potential and the club’s ability net a bargain transfer.
