Juventus outcast Sami Khedira has agreed a deal to sign for Hertha Berlin and is set to undergo his medical on Sunday.

Both Tottenham and Everton had been interested in acquiring the ex-Real Madrid star but he has chosen to return to Germany.

The World Cup-winner has been completely frozen out of activities in Turin and has not played a single minute of football this season.

Juventus have been struggling to find a buyer for the 33-year-old over the last two seasons but will now allow him to leave at no cost.

The midfielder’s contract in Turin was already due to expire this June.

Khedira arrived at Juventus in 2015 on a Bosman transfer after leaving Real Madrid and has won five straight Scudetti with the club.

However, he has suffered increasingly with physical issues over recent years, missing almost 100 games due to injuries during his time with the Old Lady.
