Real Madrid complete David Alaba signing as defender agrees five-year deal
Real Madrid have confirmed the signing of Austrian defender David Alaba on a five-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2026.
The 29-year-old defender is set to leave Bayern Munich after 13 years at the German club when his contract comes to an end this summer.

Despite reports suggesting the player could end up at Barcelona or perhaps even make the move to the Premier League and join Manchester City or Manchester United, it’s now clear that Madrid was the only place for the next chapter in his career.
Having won no less than 10 Bundesliga titles, six German Cups and two Champions League trophies during his time in Munich, Alaba arrives in the Spanish capital with the experience and expectation of a serial winner.
However, his new employer may have some convincing to do as Alaba joins a team that are not only without a manager but could also see key players like Sergio Ramos following Zinedine Zidane out the door in a few months time.
Despite that, the club confirmed that their latest signing will be properly unveiled after the European Championships.
