How Lewandowski has become hated by Bayern fans

Every day on Twitter for the past few weeks "Lewandowski" has been trending.
In amongst the Barcelona transfer updates, ridiculous rumours, and bizarre quotes from Bayern Munich's hierarchy that they expect him to see out his contract, are some very, very unhappy fans.
Lewandowski should be a Bayern Munich legend. He's the second-highest goalscorer in club history with a ridiculous return of 344 goals in 375 games and has won the Bundesliga every single season he's played for the club.
Instead, he's pi**ed all over his legacy by forcing a move to Barcelona, which has now gone through.
In multiple public statements, he's talked about how the club should show professionalism and loyalty by allowing him to leave - something he expects from Bayern Munich but is not giving them in return.
He was even photographed in the same bars as Barca coach Xavi despite the two clubs not having agreed a fee at the time.

Public enemy number one
Lewandowski's former agent Maik Barthel thought that the Poland striker may have gone on strike had Bayern not allowed him to leave. He told Bild before the deal went through: "I wouldn't be surprised if Robert goes on strike. He already thought about it in 2013, when Dortmund would not sell him."
It was no surprise that by the end of his time at the club, Bayern fans wanted rid of him.

Other fans would blame the club for losing their best player, but Lewandowski's own actions have made him public enemy number one in Munich.
And they've also made Hasan Salihamidzic's popularity rise too. The sporting director has brought in Sadio Mane as the marquee name and Bayern's fans have a shiny new toy to play with.
Lewandowski had been cast to the side before he'd even left, with the club's fans already looking to the future.
Lewandowski only has himself to blame.
