Arsenal can beat Liverpool to Bellingham with Champions League football
Jude Bellingham could pick Arsenal over Liverpool as his next club as the debate rages on over where he’ll be playing his football next season.
Bellingham is set to have a long transfer saga in 2023, and is likely to leave Borussia Dortmund for a big fee with the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea also interested in him.
The teenager has had a great start to the season, even captaining Borussia Dortmund on occasions, and he is set for big things in the future.
There’s a belief that Bellingham will choose his next club based on who has Champions League football, and at the minute, Liverpool are in a difficult position.
Arsenal could have advantage in Bellingham race
Former Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott has also said the same, believing that Champions League football may sway Bellingham’s attention.
He believes Arsenal now have a shout following an excellent start to the season as Champions League football looks like a real possibility for them next season.
Speaking on BT Sport, he said: "If Arsenal manage to get top four, which I think they do, then they attract a whole different calibre of player. I can see people like Jude Bellingham deciding over them [Liverpool and Real Madrid].
“I didn’t really celebrate the goal like I normally do because we weren’t winning the game, and that’s always my ambition.”

"If you are looking at Liverpool, who potentially may or may not make top four, and Arsenal you're thinking, 'They've got Champions League'. Now all of a sudden you are attracting a different calibre of player.
"I'm not saying he is [going to Arsenal]. But his decision is going to be based on Champions League, in terms of the stature of the club it's going to have to be relevant and match his ambitions."
Borussia Dortmund are known to be tough negotiators, as evident in the sales of Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho, and they will do the same for Bellingham, who is expected to move for over €100 million.
