Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala is ready to push for a transfer to leave the Bundesliga club, according to a report.

Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester City are all credited with an interest in the up-and-coming star, who is already closing in on 150 senior appearances for FCB and boasts an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €92 million, having been picked out of Chelsea’s academy in 2019 for just a fraction of that price.

Rumours indicate that the 20-year-old Musiala is frustrated at Bayern, having been played on the bench in recent weeks.

The Germany international star spent three out of four Bundesliga matches on the bench between the international breaks in September and October, which has reportedly fuelled the desire of Musiala to try another challenge.

It would be surprising, however, if Musiala were to leave Bayern.

He was benched after an injury and has since won his place in the starting XI back, scoring twice as Darmstadt were dismantled 8-0 on Saturday, having grabbed an assist the previous week against Mainz.

Thomas Tuchel, the Bayern head coach, has also shown faith in the player in the Champions League, fielding in each of the club’s three matches in that competition.

How much does Jamal Musiala earn?

Musiala’s present contract is estimated to be worth around €100,000-per-week, which by modern standards represents good value for Bayern. This deal expires in 2026, which means the German club is under little pressure to sell.

Indeed, there is talk that the youngster will open contract talks with the club over a new deal imminently, and it may be that these rumours of him being unsettled are designed to aid him in negotiations to earn a greater wage.

Rumours indicate that he could see his salary jump by around 60% thanks to these discussions.

Musiala is rated as the fourth most promising talent in the world game, behind only Barcelona’s Gavi and Real Madrid pair Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham, and Bayern are unlikely to willingly part with him.
