Fabrizio Romano transfer news: Man Utd moves EXPECTED, Barcelona FRUSTRATED, Juventus CHANGES
Fabrizio Romano, the football transfer news expert, has given the latest updates from the market, including information on Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, Vitor Roque and Federico Chiesa.
Man Utd send message to De Ligt and Mazraoui
Manchester United have told Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui that they still intend to move for them, despite the Old Trafford club having failed, so far, to agree terms over the purchase of these players with Bayern Munich.
Romano says, though, that the Red Devils have made their intentions clear.

“Movement is expected at Manchester United in the next days. Over the weekend, Man Utd have conversations with two players. They’ve been very clear: they will bid again for Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui,” Romano confirms.
“After the approaches they had weeks ago on the players’ side, because Man Utd have an agreement with both players – five-year contracts with options, both players want to go to Man Utd. Now United will try again. They told the players via their agent, Rafaela Pimenta, that they will attack again.
“It’s crucial for Aaron Wan-Bissaka to leave and they need more players to leave, but Man Utd will be back. This is the message sent to both players.
“They’ve also got an agreement with Manuel Ugarte but in this case the negotiation could take more time. Man Utd also have other names on their list, for example Sofyan Amrabat.”

Vitor Roque rejects offer
Barcelona youngster Vitor Roque has turned down the opportunity to move to the Saudi Pro League with Al-Hilal for a second time.
Romano has outlined the current situation at Camp Nou, with the Blaugrana apparently in a holding pattern over Nico Williams and Dani Olmo.
“There is movement at Barcelona, waiting for a deal with Nico Williams and Dani Olmo. Meanwhile, they’ve closed the deal with Girona for Oriol Romeu on loan, and Barcelona have been informed by the agent of Vitor Roque that he’s rejected a second approach from Al-Hilal,” Romano said.
“Last week, they made a contract proposal to Vitor Roque. They’re looking for a younger striker. They’ve already made contact with Jhon Duran at Aston Villa. For Vitor Roque, they’ve started another approach and his agent. He’s still keeping his options open.
“It’s his dream to stay with Barcelona, but if they force him out in the next several days, he will consider his options. He’s not happy with the proposal with Al-Hilal. The deal is in total standby, with the player rejecting two approaches from the Saudi Pro League side.”
Moukoko still wants Marseille
Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko remains set for Marseille, despite claims that there are other clubs interested.
Romano says: “Youssoufa Moukoko is giving full priority to Olympique de Marseille. We’ve had rumours of other clubs trying to hijack the deal. I’m told that Moukoko wants to go to Marseille and so waiting for terms with Borussia Dortmund, which will be a loan with a buy option. He wants to work with Roberto De Zerbi.
“With Niclas Fullkrug going to West Ham, Dortmund are working on Maximilian Beier as their new striker for Nuri Sahin.”
Thiago Motta plots wholesale changes at Juventus
New Juventus boss Thiago Motta is overseeing sweeping changes in Turin, with a string of players set to be sold this summer.
“Juventus have decided to cut several players from their squad and put them on the market,” Romano confirms.
“Federico Chiesa is on the market, Wojciech Szczesny is on the market, Arek Milik is on the market, Weston McKennie is on the market, Matteo De Sciglio is on the market and Arthur Melo is on the market. Juventus want to change a lot.
“Juve will bid again for Jean-Clair Todibo and Teun Koopmeiners. They’re among the top options they want to bring in on the market.”
