Jamal Musiala: Bayern confirm contract talks with ‘world-class’ star
Bayern Munich have confirmed contract talks with Jamal Musiala, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City among the clubs watching with interest.
Musiala, 21, is out of contract at the end of June 2026. If no new deal is agreed before next summer, he will become a valid proposition on the transfer market.
All of Europe’s major clubs have been linked with a potential move for the Germany international midfielder, but Bayern are determined to stop this from happening by tying him down to a long-term deal.

Christoph Freund, the sporting director of the Bundesliga giants, confirmed this on Friday.
“Of course there are talks on the intended contract extension with Jamal Musiala,” he said. “Jamal is a world-class player. The fans go to the stadium for him.”
Manchester City have been linked with a €300m double raid to sign both him and Florian Wirtz, while the former Chelsea academy player has been dubbed a “future Ballon d’Or winner”.
Indeed, the Blues would like to re-sign him while Manchester United, Real Madrid and Liverpool are also attentive to any potential transfer opportunities.

How good is Musiala?
Musiala is rated as one of the 10 most valuable players in the world. His Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) sits at €114.1 million, which puts him sixth among all footballers.
Aged just 21, he is predicted to have a huge future in the game, having already established himself as a leading figure with Bayern.
Bundesliga expert Ronan Murphy said of the sensation: “Musiala was given the nickname 'Bambi' by Bayern Munich team-mates because he's small and gentle, but that moniker easily could have applied for his ability to glide past opposition defenders with his nimble feet and soft touch.
“A dribbling machine, Musiala is crucial for both Bayern and Germany as he can unlock defences in a way that few other players can.”
Previously, football transfer news reporter Fabrizio Romano has outlined that tying Musiala down to a new contract is a “priority” for Bayern and one “they know they can’t miss”.
