Frimpong’s ideal destination revealed after Romano revelation

Jeremie Frimpong’s situation is “one to watch” in the summer, according to Fabrizio Romano, who says that the Bayer Leverkusen wing-back is one of the most eligible players on the transfer market.
Numerous clubs are following his situation, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona, according to TeamTalk.

Frimpong, it seems, will have his pick of illustrious teams and with Romano confirming that he has a release clause of just €40 million on his head, the Dutchman promises to be a bargain.
His Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) sits at €56.2m, down from a peak of €68m earlier this season.
After playing a key role as B04 won the 2023/24 Bundesliga title, scoring nine and creating seven, Frimpong has been marginally less productive this term but remains a powerful offensive force that a string of major clubs want to sign.
He gave a reminder of his talents on Sunday, delivering a goal and assist as Xabi Alonso's side came from two goals down to beat Stuttgart.

Frimpong should hook up with Man City
Only one of the sides closely tracking Frimpong actually offers a more suitable destination for him to show his talent, according to SciSports.
Manchester City offer Frimpong the best option in the summer in a deal that could mark his return to the Etihad Stadium after leaving for Celtic in 2019.
SciSports’ Career Advice analysis gives Pep Guardiola’s side a monumental Club Fit score of 84 based on a range of factors including scope for development, playing time, style and formation.
The Etihad outfit score well across the board, edging Leverkusen into second.

Liverpool offer an intriguing prospect. Frimpong only gets one star in terms of playing time, but with Trent Alexander-Arnold destined for Real Madrid, in reality he would be first-pick right-back ahead of Conor Bradley. The Reds’ Club Fit score of 77 is, therefore, artificially low.
Next up are Barcelona on 75, with the Camp Nou side struggling to offer the Dutchman regular football, which is a similar problem with Real Madrid back on 72.
Manchester United, meanwhile, are a nice fit stylistically for Frimpong, but Ruben Amorim’s side will struggle to help him develop to reach his full potential.
