Sesko remains a wanted man as the summer nears

Despite the January transfer window coming to a close just over a month ago, the speculation rumour mill rarely takes a break and incredibly highly rated RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko remains in the headlines when it comes to a potential move to the Premier League come the end of the current campaign and the opening of the summer transfer window.
A number of top English sides were linked with having a strong interest in the 21-year-old striker at the turn of the year, but as fans will know, ultimately nothing came of that intense speculation, but reports from Sky in Germany are now suggesting that the interest in the player remains very strong and that Leipzig are bracing themselves for tentative offers over the summer months where negotiations are a little calmer, but also far more drawn out usually.
We often see the transfer amounts and are amazed at how much money the club and the player receive. The amounts of such contracts for leading football players are in the millions. But did you know that bookmakers also offer fans the chance to earn on transfers? Yes, you can try to guess where a particular football player will go. In this article, we will tell you how it works using BTC casino as an example.
Naturally, the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur continue to be credited with having an interest and monitoring his continued progress during the second half of the season, but despite the links to Spurs it is believed that they are aware that they have little chance of securing his services over the summer simply owing to the other expressions of interest going in his direction.
He is a man in demand for obvious reasons. Despite his tender age and experience in the game, he has already racked up 39 full international caps for his country and he has scored 16 goals for Slovenia. Having spent his career so far until the Red Bull banner at both Salzburg and now Leipzig, he boasts a record of 92 starts with a return of 58 goals, which also includes a good impact at Champions League level.
The 2024/25 campaign is turning into another good one for him as well as in 30 starting appearances, he has already returned 16 goals and four assists, and obviously there are plenty of games remaining in the current season as well.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has long been linked with having an interest in him, and in amongst all the transfer talk last window, they reportedly made their move but were knocked back by his agent owing to a 'gentleman's agreement' he had made with his current club to remain with them until at least this summer. Arsenal are said to have not tested that by making a firm offer in the hope it helped position them better for the coming summer where his release clause will come into play, having already missed out on him last summer where he decided to sign a new contract extension with his current club.
Non-Arsenal fans may feel the club should take a hint, but with Leipzig just three points off the top four at this current moment in time, if the lad is minded to show a touch of loyalty (sadly lacking in the modern game of football) that should be applauded, and given their league position, fans will also appreciate why he would want to go out on a high and not maybe have left them in the lurch given he is one of their key players.
He will undoubtedly move on over the summer, the only real question is to where?
