Lionel Messi at PSG: Goals, assists, results & fixtures in 2021-22

Messi completed a shock Bosman Transfer to PSG this summer after he was unable for legal and financial reasons to sign a new contract with Barcelona.

The Argentine superstar broke virtually every record possible during the 21 years he spent at Barca, including scoring an incredible 672 goals in 778 games.

However, Messi has struggled badly so far to replicate these kind of figures at the Parc des Princes.

WHO ARE THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS IN THE WORLD?

He has scored just one Ligue 1 goal this season, although he does have five strikes in five games in the Champions League.

What did Messi say?

"It was a very big change after so much time in the same place, so it wasn't easy," Messi explained at the Dubai Expo 2020

"But, we're all doing well in what is a spectacular city and at one of the best teams in the world."

Messi also commented on Monday’s controversial Champions League last-16 draw.

UEFA were forced to redo the draw after a clerical error, and PSG were paired with record European champions Real Madrid in the first knockout stage.

"The objective for PSG is to win the Champions League, that's everyone's aim," he said.

"The team has been very close before. It's an essential competition for all teams. We'll try to win it."

Messi was earlier this month crowned as the best footballer in the world for 2021 as he picked up a record seventh Ballon d’Or in Paris.
