‘Messi unhappy after leaving Barcelona’
Argentine legend Mario Kempes says he is concerned about Lionel Messi and how unhappy he is at PSG.
Messi completed a shock Free Transfer to PSG last summer after he was unable to sign a new contract with Barcelona.
The Argentine legend broke every record possible during over two decades at Camp Nou, scoring an incredible 672 goals in 778 games.
However, Messi has been blasted by fans and the media following a difficult first season at the Parc des Princes.
He has scored just two Ligue 1 goals this season and then performed poorly as PSG were dumped out of the Champions League – capitulating from 2-0 up on aggregate to lose 3-2 to Real Madrid in the last-16.

What did Kempes say about Messi?
This has led to reports that Messi is deeply unhappy at PSG and wants to return to Barcelona this summer.
“If Messi is tired at PSG, he’s going to have to resolve his situation and see what he wants to do,” Argentina’s 1978 World Cup star Kempes told Diario Sport.
“He has a pretty long contract with Paris. I don’t know if Barcelona will welcome him back with open arms because he left in a way that nobody expected and now he’d be returning in a way that nobody expected. It’s complicated.
“In Barcelona he was a king, and in Paris he’s not as happy as he was when he was at Barcelona.
“He’s still king of the world, what’s happening is that the results aren’t coming and that affects him, no matter how much he tries to hide it. I don’t think Messi will last that long at PSG if things continue as they have been.
“I see Messi’s face and I’m concerned. Not because I see him wearing the PSG shirt, but because I’m worried what he can do with the Argentine national team.
“Whether he wins or loses with Paris, or whether he plays for Barcelona or Madrid, I don’t give five cucumbers. The only thing I want is Messi at 200% for the Argentine national team. I want him to arrive in the best shape both mentally and physically.”
Spanish sports show El Chiringuito reported last week that Messi’s father and agent Jorge Messi has spoken to Barcelona president Joan Laporta to tell him that his son wants out of Paris.
It remains to be seen whether Barcelona will make a move, although they do plan to sign a new central forward this summer.
