Real Madrid target Bellingham transfer in 2023
Real Madrid are plotting a transfer swoop for Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Jude Bellingham in the summer of 2023, according to Marca.
Bellingham has emerged as one of the brightest talents in world football over the last year following his performances for Dortmund and indeed the England national side.
Before the 18-year-old completed his sensational transfer to Dortmund from Birmingham City, he was regularly scouted by basically every elite club in England and also Bayern, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
He was reportedly shown around Manchester United's Carrington training complex by none other than Sir Alex Ferguson.
Dortmund won the race for his signature, though, and his signing has proved to be another outstanding piece of business for the Germans.
It is highly likely that Bellingham will leave the Bundesliga within the next two years, though if Erling Haaland is sold this summer it will likely be 2023 when a transfer may materalise.
That is exactly what Real Madrid are hoping, as they put all their efforts into the acquisitions of Kylian Mbappe and Haaland in the summer of 2022.
Los Blancos want to sign that pair this year, and continue building another Galactico side for the ages with the acquisition of Bellingham a year later.
Who are Madrid targeting in 2023?
Bellingham is the latest name in a number of young stars that Real Madrid are looking at for a 2023 transfer.
Also close to the top of their wishlist if another Bundesliga player in Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz.
Unfortunately for the young German, he recently suffered a cruciate ligament injury that has put his participation in the World Cup in doubt.
Prior to that, he was in fabulous form for Leverkusen, with 10 goals scored and 14 assists recorded in all competitions in 2021/22.
His injury will likely not impact Madrid's interest as they want a deal in 2023.
For a more defensive option, Los Blancos are also considering a move for Monaco's Aurelien Tchouameni. The powerhouse midfielder will likely be on a lot of club's radars, and soon, though, so they may lose out on him if they don't pull the trigger this summer.
In recent years, Madrid have gained success by looking at the Brazilian market for very young players, signing them in the hope that they will reach their maximum potential.
It hasn't always worked, as while Vinicius Junior has been a huge success, the jury is still out on the likes of Rodrygo and Reinier.
The next Brazilian they will target is Endrick, who is only 15-years-old and at Palmeiras.
