Real Madrid have been offered the chance to sign four top-class attackers this summer, according to Marca.

Madrid have made the signing of an elite attacker their priority in the transfer window following the sensational collapse of Kylian Mbappe’s move.

Mbappe had seemed certain to join Madrid on a free transfer when his PSG contract was due to expire at the end of this month.

However, in a shock turnaround, Mbappe eventually decided to sign a new three-year contract with PSG a fortnight ago.

This has left Madrid scrambling around looking at other options.

According to Marca, Madrid have already been offered four top alternatives by agents.

The first player is Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian will leave the Etihad this summer as his contract expires in 2023 and he is surplus to requirements following the signing of Erling Haaland.

Gabriel Jesus had seemed likely to join Arsenal, who are still favourites for his signature. But negotiations have slowed a touch of late, and Madrid have now been offered the chance to sign him along with Atletico Madrid.

The second player is Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku only returned to Chelsea last summer from Inter in a €115 million deal but endured a disastrous campaign at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian is deeply unhappy and is desperate to quit this summer, with a move back to Inter his preferred choice. However, Lukaku’s lofty wage makes a return to San Siro tricky.

The third player offered to Madrid is Raheem Sterling.

Like Gabriel Jesus, Sterling’s contract expires in 2023 and he is no longer a first-choice player with Pep Guardiola.

Sterling has long been linked with a move to Madrid, although he may let his contract run down and earn a lucrative free transfer move next year.

The fourth and final player to be offered to Madrid is Milan sensation Rafael Leao.

The Portuguese attacker has been heavily linked with Madrid in recent weeks after he played a pivotal role in Milan winning the Scudetto.

Leao is in negotiations for a new contract at San Siro, although his agent Jorge Mendes is said to prefer to move him on for financial reasons.
