Lewandowski transfer links don't scare Braithwaite
Martin Braithwaite has been linked with a move away from Barcelona, especially with the club pursuing Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski, but he insists he's happy at Camp Nou.
Braithwaite joined Barcelona from Leganes for €18 million in February 2020 when the club were granted an emergence exception to sign him outside of the transfer window after Ousmane Dembele picked up a long-term injury.
A knee injury held up his progress this season, restricting the Dane to just four La Liga appearances, three of them starts.
He was reasonably prolific, though, with his two goals and one assist coming in at a rate of one every 79 minutes.
Braithwaite's time up at Barca?
Braithwaite will likely be behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ferran Torres and Dembele in the final-third pecking order, and the potential arrival of Lewandowski doesn't make his path to first team football any clearer.
Braithwaite remains defiant, though. "I'm having a great time at Barcelona," he said ahead of Denmark's UEFA Nations League meeting with France on Friday.
"I haven't played that much, but we have a good coach and I know I'll probably get a chance if I'm there and I work hard. I have two years left on my contract."

Braithwaite also broke his leg back in 2011 when still at hometown club Esbjerg, but that didn't stop him from going on to score 40 goals in 149 games with Toulouse and then embarking on a career which also took him to Middlesbrough and Bordeaux before Barcelona.
"I've been in a situation like this before, in which I haven't played and people said I wasn't going to play," he continued. "I always had it against me. What happens this summer isn't something that worries me.
