Cristiano Ronaldo subject to blistering attack by Atletico Madrid fans
Atletico Madrid fans have issued a warning to Cristiano Ronaldo that he will never be accepted at the Metropolitano Stadium.
Ronaldo’s time at Manchester United could soon be up after it was reported a few weeks ago that he wished to find a new club for the 2022-23 season.
He is worried about the Red Devils' ability to challenge for trophies and is unhappy about the prospect of not playing in the Champions League.
As a result, agent Jorge Mendes has been offering his services to multiple clubs over the past weeks.
So far, it has been reported that the following clubs have been approached; Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG, Roma, Napoli, Sporting Lisbon and, most recently, Atletico Madrid.
Such is Ronaldo's desperation to leave the club that he is willing to take less money to move elsewhere, as CBS reporter Ben Jacobs explained when he discussed the latest development with FootballTransfers.
''Cristiano Ronaldo would be prepared to take a significant pay cut, with sources close to him saying that might even be as high as 30 percent,'' Jacobs said.

''Atletico Madrid is a move that Ronaldo would be very open to, despite his links with Real, and now his side has to sell it to them and then work out whether Manchester United will entertain a permanent sale or a loan move.''
The links to Atletico Madrid have not gone down well with the La Liga club's supporters, however.
Atletico Madrid fans statement on Cristiano Ronaldo
In a blistering attack on one football's greatest ever players, the International Union of Supporters of Atletico Madrid claim that Ronaldo 'could never achieve their affection or recognition', regardless of the success he may bring.
''Given the possibility that the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo is something more than a simple rumour, without any foundation whatsoever, we express our absolute rejection of a hypothetical incorporation into our Club, as we already publicly stated,” the statement reads.
''The aforementioned player represents the antithesis of the values that constitute the hallmarks of our Atleti, such as effort, generosity, simplicity and humility of those who want to defend our values.
''Even in the unlikely event that a player in frank decline like Cristiano Ronaldo could secure a title, we would not accept your transfer. The sense of belonging to our Athletic feeling is not something that is within his reach, to his misfortune, for which he could never achieve our affection or recognition.
''Therefore, we ask the Club to reject his possible hiring, if at any time it has been considered.''
