Robert Lewandowski: 2023/24 goals, assists and stats for Barcelona
Robert Lewandowski is now in his second season at Barcelona and things aren't going quite as well as they did last year in both La Liga and the Champions League.
Lewandowski's 2022/23 was an overriding success; the prolific forward struck 23 times in 34 La Liga appearances, and added another five in the Champions League, one in the Europa League and two in the Copa del Rey.
That created a total of 31 goals in 44 appearances, a superb total and one that showed that despite his age, Lewandowski still had very much to offer at the highest level, as Barca clinched the league title.

23/24 | 1532 | 10 | 153 |
22/23 | 3744 | 31 | 120 |
But in 2023/24 it has been quite the different story for the 35-year-old. Lewandowski started the season in typically prolific fashion, scoring seven times in his first seven appearances.
But Lewandowski's form has dropped off since; having picked up a knock in October he was only fit enough to play 29 minutes of the Clasico in which Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 2-1 at Camp Nou.
That was his fourth appearances without scoring, and now in December, Lewy has struck just twice in his last 10 matches - a double to defeat Alaves in early November.
There has been talk of the need to either give Lewandowski more support or, indeed replace him altogether.
The introduction of Joao Felix to the team has helped Barcelona in some ways but in others have hindered the ability to deliver quality chances to Lewandowski, and Barcelona are still struggling to strike that balance.
Whatever the reason behind Lewandowski's drop-off in form, the forward is facing his biggest period of pressure from the Spanish press since arriving from Bayern Munich 18 months ago.
