Barca have not been able to make any high-profile signings this summer due to their financial concerns.

The only way that they will be able to do so before the deadline shuts is to sell players first.

One man who could return a significant transfer fee from another club is Roque, who only joined last season.

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that there is interest in the Brazilian from teams in the Saudi Pro League.

Barca paid signed Roque in a deal worth up to €61 million and they love love to recoup all of that.

He is only 19 years of age, but two goals in 16 appearances suggest that he is very much a work in progress and Hansi Flick's side need immediate improvements.

How would Barcelona spend Roque money?

Barcelona's top target is Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams, who has a release clause of €58 million.

They have no chance of meeting this currently but the sale of Roque could make it possible.

Alternatively, Barca are looking at Williams' international teammate Dani Olmo, who was the joint top scorer at Euro 2024.

The Catalan club have already made a €60m offer for the Spaniard but it included some unrealistic add-ons.

The departure of Roque would allow them to make a more serious offer to RB Leipzig.
