Mbappe opted against activating the one-year contract extension option in his PSG deal in order to join the likes of Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo at Real Madrid.

After their Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid have looked to strengthen the side further in the hope of continuing their dominance on the European stage.

Mbappe is likely to make his unofficial Real Madrid debut against AC Milan on 31 July. Carlo Ancelotti’s side will face the Italian giants in a pre-season friendly at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois.

Los Blancos will also play pre-season friendlies against Barcelona and Chelsea during their USA tour.

Mbappe is then set to make his official debut against Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup on 14 August.

At his presentation, Mbappe said: “I was just like you, I had this dream and today it comes true. I can tell you that if you have the passion, you can achieve your dreams.

“I’m very excited. The fact that I’m talking so much means that it’s important for me to be here today.

“This is the club of my dreams and the biggest club in the history of world football.”

"Now I have another dream. That’s a dream of living up to this club’s history. I can promise that I will give it my all for this club and for this badge.”

"I want to thank the president Florentino Perez, for always having great confidence in me. There have been a lot of things going on, but we’ve done it. Thank you very much.

“I’d also like to thank all those people who have put in a great effort for me to be able to be here today, who have done so much for me to enjoy this moment.

“My family are so happy here, I can see my mum crying.”
