Barcelona to sign Bayer Leverkusen ace in 2025
Barcelona have allegedly secured the summer 2025 signing of a Bayer Leverkusen star.
The Blaugrana have been heavily linked with Jonathan Tah for a few months now and the latest reports out of Catalunya indicate the saga could be at an end.
Roger Torello of Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona are going to sign Jonathan Tah on a free transfer in the summer of 2025.
The Bayer Leverkusen captain signed a four year extension in 2021, and that contract is due to expire on June 30, 2025.

Tah, who captained Bayer Leverkusen to an incredible undefeated Bundesliga title win under Xabi Alonso's management last season, is not renewing with the German side.
After a decade of playing in Leverkusen, Tah is taking his talents to Catalunya and will sign with Hansi Flick's Barcelona as a free agent.
Tah's decision could have been motivated by the speculation that Xabi Alonso himself is set to depart Leverkusen at the end of the season, with the Spaniard's former club Real Madrid being mooted as his suspected destination.
Tah, who joined Leverkusen as a teenager in 2015 from HSV, shares an agent with Barcelona's star striker Robert Lewandowski. Pini Zahavi has a good relationship with the Blaugrana and that likely played a part in Tah's new choice of club.
The New Christensen and Garcia?
Tah's move could have a very interesting impact on Barcelona's own transfer plans as it pertains selling players to help raise funds.
Tah is a centre-back and at first glance this is a position where Barcelona have lots of quality. They have Ronald Araujo, veteran Inigo Martinez, young prodigy Pau Cubarsi and solid players Andreas Christensen and Eric Garcia.

Martinez, Christensen and Garcia all joined Barcelona for free themselves. And while Martinez has established himself as a starter this season, Christensen and Garcia are not on as firm a ground.
Given Barcelona's financial state is far from healthy, selling players for profit is a viable strategy, and any fee for Christensen and Garcia would be all profit.
So don't be surprised if Barcelona use Tah to fill-in as defensive depth behind Araujo and Cubarsi, allowing them to sell Christensen and/or Garcia to raise funds and finally register the likes of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.
