Lamine Yamal CONFIRMS Barcelona transfer decision

Lamine Yamal has made a major transfer decision regarding his future.
Speaking in a recent interview with Mundo Deportivo, Lamine Yamal was asked if he would ever consider joining Barcelona's hated rivals Real Madrid.
"Real Madrid move one day? No way. No chance. Impossible," was Lamine Yamal's answer "Real Madrid, no."
Lamine Yamal's contract expires in the summer of 2027, so with just a little over two years left to run on his current deal, renewal talks are expected soon.

With the mighty Jorge Mendes as his agent, Lamine Yamal will almost certainly extract the best value deal possible from Barcelona, and part of that will of course involve rumours linking him with other elite sides.
But Lamine Yamal has put a stop to that, as regards Real Madrid at least. And this is probably for the best because Los Blancos do need a right-winger and signing the jewel of the Spanish national team as well as Barcelona's brightest young talent would be the kind of dagger blow someone like Florentino Perez would love to land.
After all, that's what he did when he poached Figo from Barcelona 25 years ago, kick-starting the Galacticos era in earnest while condemning the Blaugrana to a half-decade without a single trophy before Frank Rijkaard, Ronaldinho and Joan Laporta began their resurrection and redemption.

Raphinha: the big brother Lamine Yamal needs
Mundo Deportivo's big interview with Lamine Yamal did have many humourous tidbits, such as Lamine Yamal being afraid of Kangaroos and the insinuation that Gavi is so crazy that no one wants to live with him and that the teenager would love to sign Jamal Musiala for Barcelona (unfortunately for him, Musiala has renewed with Bayern).
MD also asked Lamine Yamal who gives him the best advice in the locker room. And while you'd expect the answer to be the brilliantly experienced Robert Lewandowski (who is literally older than Lamine Yamal's father), it was not him.
Instead, Lamine Yamal said that Raphinha is the one who gives him the best advice. "He always talks to me before matches, after matches, after training. I think that, of the veterans, because in the end the others are almost my age or two years older, he is the one I talk to the most and the one I have the best relationship with."

Raphinha has often come across a genuinely passionate and committed leader who perhaps doesn't get the credit he deserves for that.
But hearing how full of advice he is for Lamine Yamal, a player 10 years his junior, is heartening. While the Spaniard was to the manor born, literally bathed by Leo Messi as a toddler, Raphinha had to fight for everything.
After breaking through with Avai, he then played for Vitoria de Guimaraes, Sporting CP, Rennes and then Leeds where he helped them get promoted to the Premier League and then survive relegation on the final day of the season before finally securing his dream move to Barcelona.
Having someone with that kind of humility and experience advising a player for whom so much has come so fast can only be a good thing.
