Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has met with officials from the Saudi Pro League and has been handed a contract offer that is described as “unrefusable”.
Vini Jr has long been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, yet a deal for the Brazil international star appears closer than ever, with Marca reporting that the Pro League are getting “very serious” about adding the Ballon d’Or runner up to the ranks of one of their most powerful clubs.
The player has personally met with officials from the Gulf state to listen to a proposal from them, the Spanish source reports. It claims that he had a discussion lasting around 15 minutes and showed interest in the proposal in both a sporting and personal manner.
Saudi is trying to sell him the opportunity not only based on money but also status. It claims that he has been tempted by the idea of being an ambassador for the 2034 World Cup.

Vini Junior offered €1 billion deal
During the meeting, which took place in Prague, the terms of Vini Jr’s contract with the Saudi Pro League were outlined to him.
The 24-year-old was offered a five-year contract worth €1 billion, meaning that he would earn €200 million a year.
“The player's entourage is very clear that this is an unprecedented and irresistible offer, and they made this clear to the attacker when they saw that the Arabs were serious. The dizzying figures and the projects offered have caused the player to consider his future,” Marca states.
It is not clear which Saudi Pro League team he could play for. It is likely to be a club based in Jeddah, although Marca states that Neymar’s departure from Al-Hilal could change the player’s destination.
Vini Jr has just one major reservation over completing the move to the Saudi Pro League: that of his image. He is concerned that he will be seen as a player motivated by money if he leaves Real Madrid for Saudi, although he is being pushed away from Spain by the racist abuse he has suffered.
It is stressed, meanwhile, that he has not made a final decision over his future, but Saudi want an answer by the summer.
Vini Jr is not the only superstar attracted to the Saudi Pro League this summer. Mo Salah has reportedly "99% agreed" a contract with the big-spending division.
