Kylian Mbappe may have found his best level for Real Madrid on the field, but if the France star has won over his colleagues in that regard, he has not found unanimity away from it.

There was, officially, “high alert” at the Bernabeu club over the condition of the striker, yet Sport reports this was never really the case.

The Catalan source claims that: “Mbappe is one of those people who, in the words of Real Madrid medical services ‘has a low pain threshold.’

“He's a weakling. He's always complaining.”

Kylian Mbappe’s injury history

This is not the first time this season that Mbappe has caused controversy because of an injury problem.

He missed LaLiga clashes against Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano because of muscle injuries that saw him sidelined for less than a week.

While there are those in the Madrid camp that believe he calls off too easily, there are others who believe that he knows his own body very well and is managing the situation perfectly.

Mbappe’s injury history throughout his career shows a similar pattern. He has missed matches here and there because of minor issues but he has never been sidelined for a prolonged period of time.

Indeed, he did not miss a single game due to injury in his final season at PSG while he has only sat out a couple since his high-profile summer move to Real Madrid.

As such, there are no serious worries over the situation at this point, even if the player may have a tendency towards being a hypochondriac.
