Real Madrid want Bruno Guimaraes to replace Casemiro
Real Madrid have already sounded out replacements for Casemiro and they could swap him for another Brazilian in Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes.
Madrid are in negotiations with Manchester United over Casemiro and it is believed the club will not hold him back from leaving as the midfielder is keen on the move.
Despite already signing Aurelien Tchouameni in a €100 million deal, Real may still look to bring in another midfielder and AS reports that Guimaraes is top of their list.
The 24-year-old only joined Newcastle in January and is a fan favourite at the club, having embraced the role of headlining the team's new project.
It is believed that Newcastle could demand a fee well above double the €52m they paid Lyon but the player's current ability combined with his potential has attracted the attention of Madrid.
Real are talking about Bruno
Since Guimaraes' Premier League debut, he has made the most tackles, won the most duels and been fouled more than any other player in the league.
He is a regular starter for Brazil and has dual Spanish nationality, meaning he would not be considered a non-EU player for Madrid should he join.
However, it is believed that Newcastle have issued a hands-off warning on Guimaraes and will not consider selling him, with the player happy to stay despite an admiration for Real and Carlo Ancelotti.
🇧🇷 Bruno Guimarães tiene el manual del mediocentro europeo en la cabeza. Y en la Premier League lo demuestra a la perfección.

There is an acceptance in Madrid that Casemiro will join United after the 30-year-old received a proposal that would hand him a long-term contract on double his current salary.
Casemiro has three years left on his current deal but found himself on the bench for Real's opening La Liga game after Tchouameni was preferred, perhaps signalling a sign of things to come.
United, meanwhile, did not initially consider Casemiro a target but have stepped up their chase for a defensive midfielder after their dismal start to the season which has left them bottom of the Premier League for the first time in 30 years.
