Three of which are Los Blancos legends, while the other could come as a surprise.

Ancelotti named the players when speaking about the club's transfer business in his press conference on Friday.

''Modrić and Benzema? Their future is very clear,'' Ancelotti said. ''If they want to stay they'll stay here until the end of their career.

''Same for Kroos and Nacho. This is what the club wants."

Between them, the four stars have made 1,147 La Liga appearances in the white of Real Madrid.

Real Madrid’s transfer window

Madrid had a relatively quiet transfer window, but still managed to strengthen the squad, despite losing Casemiro to Manchester United.

While Barcelona have spent money that they don't have, Madrid have been more prudent with their work, splashing out a total of €100 million on summer signings.

This fee went entirely towards France midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni; Los Blancos fought off serious competition from both Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, as well as interest from Chelsea, to win the race for his signature.

The former Monaco man is now expected to feature in the starting lineup following Casemiro's departure.

He has joined the likes of Modric, Kroos, Eduardo Camavinga and Fede Valverde in the Real Madrid midfield.

As well as Tchouameni, Real Madrid recruited Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger, who arrived on a free transfer.

He is expected to provide competition for David Alaba and Eder Militao at centre-back, while the Austrian international Alaba may move to left-back, the position in which he made his name at Bayern Munich.

Carlo Ancelotti's side did not need to do much else in the window. After all, they won the Champions League last season and strolled to La Liga success without too much bother.
