Neves has been a crucial part of the Wolves machine, but there has always been speculation over his future at the club, which has intensified over the last few months as he enters the last years of his deal at Molinuex.

A host of clubs across England and Europe are interested in signing Neves and they know they could get the Portuguese star on the cheap in the coming months.

Barcelona are believed to be massively interested in the player, but they know they will face stern competition from Premier League sides, namely Arsenal.

The Gunners have been looking to improve their midfield for a while, eager to add more depth and quality to their squad as they wish to return to competing with the country’s best clubs.

Lots of interest in Neves

They were interested in several midfielders over the summer, especially Youri Tielemans, but felt they had to prioritize other positions before sorting out their midfield.

The desire to improve their midfield is still there and they could launch a serious offer for Neves in one of the next two transfer windows in the hope of getting the player.

Barcelona are also serious contenders for Neves’ signature, having been busy over this transfer window, signing a host of players through the activation of various economic levers.

They are likely to have slightly more financial freedom in coming transfer windows as their salary cap has been raised and they will be looking to make more transfers in the future.

Other than Barcelona, clubs such as Manchester United and Liverpool have been looking at Neves’ situation at Wolves with a view towards making a move: the midfielder has less than two years on his deal left.
