Barcelona are looking at the possibility of a host of free transfers next year, continuing their recent trend of signing players at the end of their contracts.

In the last few windows, Barcelona have made a host of free signings including Franck Kessie, Andreas Christensen, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Memphis Depay to help them through the financial troubles.

Barcelona have already stressed that the free agent market will be important to them in the upcoming transfer windows if they wish to refresh their squad in the next few years.

The club don’t have any economic levers or sponsorship deals to help them financially and will need free transfers to help them through their economic conditions.

Barcelona eyeing several free signings

As a result, they have targeted a host of players they can sign, starting at right-back, where they are known to be keen admirers of Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot.

The Blaugrana are keen to strengthen in that area, and the signing of Dalot could be vital as it’s a priority position that they weren’t able to improve in the best manner in the summer gone by.

Similarly, they are targeting Torino’s Stephane Singo, who has previously been on the radar of English sides Arsenal and Tottenham and Barcelona are keeping tabs on his progress.

In defence, Inigo Martinez of Athletic Club is an option – the 31-year-old has been of interest in the past and given his La Liga experience, he could be a shrewd purchase for Barcelona in upcoming windows.

They are also focusing on Milan Skriniar of Inter, but Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen and the player may demand a high wage if he is to sign.

In midfield, Naby Keita of Liverpool is their latest target and they feel he is a reasonable signing as he isn’t able to secure a first-team place and could be open to a move in the future.

Youri Tielemans is another consideration, but Barcelona will face competition from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United if they want to sign the current Leicester City star.

It was reported in Spain that Jorginho’s agent was also in Barcelona last week, and that has raised talk of a potential move for the Italian midfielder next summer.

Additionally, Ilkay Gundogan is another player considered, but given his importance to Manchester City and the standard of the club compared to Barcelona, he may be harder to convince.

Finally, Barcelona are also tracking Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, but the English club are working hard on ensuring the forward’s stay and getting him will be difficult as he is likely to extend his contract at Old Trafford.
