Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick celebrates creating history with Haaland tribute
Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick became Palmeiras’ youngest ever goal scorer and promptly copied the celebration of Manchester City forward Erling Haaland.
The 16-year-old striker has been making football transfer news headlines in recent months as he has caught the attention of both Barcelona and Real Madrid. More recently, several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with the forward, who has been compared to Brazil greats Romario and Ronaldo.
He made his debut earlier this month, becoming Palmeiras’ youngest ever player as they defeated Coritiba in Brazil’s Serie A. And he has now followed that up by becoming their youngest ever scorer, netting the second goal in a 3-0 win over Athletico PR.

His strike came 20 minutes from time, with the teenager making a well-timed run to head a cross into the net. It proved to be the game’s winning goal. He celebrated his goal by celebrating in the style of Haaland, who is presently tearing up the Premier League with Manchester City, scoring at a rate of over a goal per game.
Earlier, he had shown great maturity and composure to help Gustavo Scarpa net the equaliser.

Gabriel Jesus brands Endrick a phenomenon
Endrick is winning acclaim from his fellow players, with Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus full of praise for the forward.
“I saw Endrick when I was training with Palmeiras for few days,” he explained to ESPN Brazil. “And I said: 'Wow, crack, fenomeno!' He's only 15 and he has top skills like a professional.
“I'm supporting Endrick, he's a top talent. He will need time.”
He also reportedly left Real Madrid scouts ‘speechless’ after watching him for 12 minutes in a recent Serie A clash against Avai.
The race to sign Endrick is, therefore, only going to hot up as the January approaches, with Palmeiras hoping to receive around €35 million for the hotshot.
