Real Madrid legend Marcelo a disaster at Olympiakos
Former Real Madrid legend Marcelo has been such a disaster since his summer move to Olympiakos that he could be released after just two months.
That is according to FootMercato, which reports that the 34-year-old veteran has been an unmitigated failure since his free transfer move to Greece.
Brazilian left-back Marcelo left Madrid in the summer at the end of his contract after 15-and-a-half years at the Santiago Bernabeu.
But he has struggled badly at Olympiakos, making just five dismal appearances as a substitute.
He also struggled with injuries and looked well short of the fitness required for top-level football.
Subsequently, it is increasingly possible that Olympiakos will release Marcelo from his contract.
Marcelo's Real Madrid career
Marcelo left Madrid in the summer having just lifted his fifth Champions League and his first as club captain. The Blancos defeated Liverpool 1-0 in Paris in the final and also clinched La Liga this past season.
In total, the Brazilian won 25 titles with Madrid, which is a club record.

He has six LaLiga Santander championships, five Champions League titles, five Spanish Super Cups, four Club World Cups, three UEFA Super Cups and two Copa del Rey wins to his name.
He joined Madrid from Fluminense in the winter window of the 2006/07 season and soon went on to make the left-back spot his own.
He achieved something Real Madrid fans had thought would be impossible - replacing Roberto Carlos.
Not only did he take over the left flank from his Brazilian counterpart, but Marcelo went on to become the best left-back in the world for many years.
Now 34, Marcelo has somewhat been in decline in recent years and this has shown at Olympiakos.
