Endrick has been making headlines even before he became Palmeiras’ youngest player and scorer earlier this year, with Los Blancos having long tracked him.

Competition to sign the teenager, though, has been tough. Many of Europe’s leading clubs have been seeking to add the youngster to their ranks, among them Premier League side Chelsea.

Real Madrid have won the race for the youngster, according to Fabrizio Romano, who indicates that the deal is in its “final stages”.

He reports that a price tag of €60 million has been agreed between the clubs, with bonus payments potentially taking the total value of the deal to €72m. Real Madrid are seeking to secure the player’s signature very soon.

Endrick, who has scored three league goals in just six senior appearances, will remain with Palmeiras until he turns 18, meaning that it will be 2024 before Real Madrid fans get to see him turn out in their club colours in a competitive environment.

The Spanish club have promised the youngster that they will not sign Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and block his pathway to the first team, such is the esteem that they hold him in.

PSG pull out of Endrick race

This news came off the back of PSG giving up on the transfer of Endrick.

The Ligue 1 club offered Palmeiras €58m for the teenager, but their offer was knocked back and they are not willing to go higher.

Romano reports that PSG also offered the Brazilian club €35m for 15-year-old Estevao in a double deal, though it is unclear if their decision to pull out of the Endrick chase will have an impact on this transfer going through.
