Despite competition from their El Clasico rivals Real Madrid, Barcelona have raced to top spot in La Liga this season and are on course to reclaim the title in Spain.

Xavi has managed to extract brilliant production from the entirety of his squad and despite their financial woes, Barcelona look good value for their position in the Spanish top flight.

After losing Lionel Messi on a free transfer in 2021, there were concerns over the future of Barcelona's squad, but the use of economic levers has allowed the Blaugrana to purchase the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde, while Xavi has also utilised the free transfer market to great effect.

Which Barcelona players have seen their value increase?

Gavi is the Barcelona player whose value has increased the most following an immense few months. The young Spaniard was valued at €31.4 million in July 2022, but he has now an ETV of €97.6m. That means he is now the sixth-highest valued player in the world football.

The next highest value rise in the Barcelona squad is to Ousmane Dembele, who has seen his ETV increase by €31.3m. He was valued at just €16m before the season started having not yet signed his contract extension at the club. However, his value has steadily rose throughout the campaign to €47.3m.

Andreas Christensen is third on the list having seen his ETV increase from €24.5m to €41.9m since July 2022. He joined Barcelona on a free transfer from Chelsea last summer.

Alejandro Balde has seen the next largest value rise of Barcelona players. The Spanish left-back has burst onto the scene this season, rising from a mere €2.5m ETV in July 2022 to €18m ETV in February 2023.

The Barcelona player with the fifth highest ETV rise is Jules Kounde. His value has gone from €50m to €65.1m. The Frenchman left Sevilla to sign for Barcelona in 2022.
