Real Madrid already know Ancelotti REPLACEMENT

Real Madrid have already found an internal replacement should Carlo Ancelotti leave amid Brazil links.

Carlo Ancelotti has won everything there is to win at the Santiago Bernabeu, but he might not stay with Los Blancos for that much longer.

The 63-year-old has recently been the subject of strong links with the Brazilian FA, who would like for the Italian to coach Neymar and company.

Ancelotti's agent Frank Trimboli has reportedly already travelled to South America to get an idea of the infrastructure and set-up in place.

The contract of Ancelotti, who has claimed Champions League, LaLiga, Club World Cup, Spanish Super Cup and UEFA Supercup honours all in the last 12 months, runs until 2024.

Raul to the rescue?

In light of the heightened interest in Ancelotti's services, AS reports that Real have already earmarked the Italian's successor: none other than club legend Raul Gonzalez Blanco.

The 45-year-old former striker has been coaching Real Madrid Castilla, Los Blancos' reserves, since 2019, doing an outstanding job. In 2020, Raul coached Real's U19s to their first UEFA Youth League title, and he is on a good path to get Castilla up to the Segunda Division this season.

His side currently sit pretty in fourth of the third tier, level on points with Racing Ferrol in third and only four points off the top spot currently occupied by relegated AD Alcoron.

Raul's renown and impressive coaching "has aroused the interest of teams from the Premier League and Germany," according to AS. The 45-year-old reportedly rejected an approach from Leeds United in the wake of Jesse Marsch's sacking

The Spanish paper, however, also states that he has admirers much closer to home, within the Real organisation. Indeed, Raul is already being touted internally as Ancelotti's successor.

This wouldn't come as a surprise seeing as though four of Real's last five coaches all honed their skills with Castilla before making the jump into senior management.

"His leadership skills, charisma, knowledge of [Real] and his technical skills are the arguments that support Raúl's future candidacy for the Real Madrid first team bench," says AS.
