Ahead of the summer transfer window, Los Blancos are looking to sign the winger, reports Don Balon.

It is thought that Thomas Tuchel has communicated to the executives at Bayern that Gnarby should be allowed to leave.

Naturally, this means that Real would be able to make an approach and sign the German without much of a fight from the Bundesliga club.

The former Arsenal player is extremely versatile, being able to play either down the middle or on the wing.

It is believed that he could even be used to interchange with Karim Benzema, with the 35-year-old now well and truly in his veteran years.

Carlo Ancelotti has Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior to select for the flanks, but Gnabry will be able to be a competition for both those players ahead of the new season.

Los Merengues are facing the prospect of Marco Asensio leaving in the transfer window, with his contract up in June, so they ideally would like a replacement for the Spaniard.

Gnabry has registered a healthy 12 goals and 11 assists in 42 games across competitions this season.

It is not clear how much Bayern would demand, but his contract at the Allianz Arena expires in June 2026 so they could ask for a relatively high rate for the former Premier League ace.

Ancelotti on La Liga

Ancelotti was recently asked whether it bothered him that his side have not competed for the La Liga title this season.

The Italian replied: "I think it’s logical to think that, yes. We haven’t had consistency, we haven’t been strong... and when that happens, things don’t go well. But now is not the time to look back. There is still a lot to play for. A lot."

Barcelona are currently leading second-placed Real Madrid by 11 points.
