Dortmund boss Terzic lifts lid on Bellingham's Real Madrid transfer

Jude Bellingham is reportedly nearing a blockbuster transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid, and now his manager Edin Terzic has spoken out.

Bellingham is one of the most in-demand players in world football this summer, a midfielder who is one of the first names on Gareth Southgate's England teamsheet and has led Dortmund out in the Champions League at 19.

Both Manchester clubs have been credited with an interest in Bellingham, who was reportedly Liverpool's top transfer target before their FSG ownership publicly pulled out with Dortmund asking for anywhere between €120 million and €150m for their player.

Now, Madrid looks to be his most likely next destination, but precious few have predicted another season with Dortmund - something that rankles with their manager, Edin Terzic.

What did Terzic say about Bellingham?

"Now the news came from Spain, before that it came from England - I think before that it even came from France at one point," Terzic said.

"These are issues that we put in the context of Jude Bellingham - last year it was Erling [Haaland], the year before it was Jadon [Sancho]. We've had a lot of experience with that over the last few years.

"And how I perceive him: Jude comes here every day and gives everything to become a Bundesliga champion at the end. I haven't even heard from him that he's involved with another club. We're much more concerned with how we can make him and the team better.

"That's the only topic I currently have with him. The rest are topics that have no place in the dressing room or the coach's office. All we're concerned with right now is making sure we have something really nice to hold in our hands at the end of the season."

Dortmund are currently second in the Bundesliga, one point behind Bayern Munich, looking to end an 11-year wait for the title having last been crowned German champions under Jurgen Klopp in 2012.
