Five Real Madrid players who could leave this summer
Jude Bellingham in, Karim Benzema out - Real Madrid have already done significant transfer business this summer, but there could be more players to follow the Ballon d'Or winner into the Santiago Bernabeu exit lounge.
Indeed, some already have. While Benzema will move to Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia for a reported €200m million a year, Marco Asensio is set to sign for Paris Saint-Germain, also on a free transfer. Eden Hazard and Mariano Diaz have been released too, but are without new employers thus far.
Real have spent an initial €103m in signing England midfielder Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund, and his arrival could pave the way for others to leave. FootballTransfers takes a closer look…

Dani Ceballos
Dani Ceballos managed 19 La Liga starts last season and has reportedly been offered a new three-year contract worth €5 million a season, but the fact remains that he hasn't signed it yet and is available on a free from the end of June.
With Luka Modric and Toni Kroos also looking to stay for another season, Ceballos' path to first-team football looks blocked, and Unai Emery is understood to be interested in bringing the midfielder to Aston Villa.
Aurelien Tchouameni
If Bellingham is this summer's blockbuster arrival, Aurelien Tchouameni was last's, the Frenchman arriving from Monaco for a potential €100m. He impressed in Real's engine room, and had the most interceptions and pass completion percentage among midfielder La Liga-wide in his maiden campaign.
He and Bellingham could form a midfield partnership for a generation, but Tchouameni was already increasingly benched towards the end of last season and he could now be used as a makeweight to bring Kylian Mbappe to Madrid from PSG, according to reports in France.

Ferland Mendy
A France international teammate of Tchoumeni's, Ferland Mendy has become an indirect victim of Real's overcrowded midfield, with Eduardo Camavinga getting repurposed as a left-back last season. Manchester City and Newcastle have been credited with an interest in the former Lyon defender.
Brahim Diaz

Brahim Diaz has spent the last three seasons on loan at AC Milan, with whom he won the Serie A title in 2022, and it is understood that Ancelotti wants to reintegrate him into the squad this season, especially with Hazard's departure freeing up squad space.
He may be less likely to leave than some of the other players on this list, but Milan retain an interest in the one-time Spain international, and could fund a move for him if they cash in on Rafa Leao this summer.
Nacho Fernandez
Should Brahim return to Milan he could find himself lining up against a former Madrid teammate in Nacho Fernandez. Champions League finalists Inter Milan reportedly want to bolster their squad with the veteran defender, and have offered him a three-year deal.
