Real Madrid consider SUSPENDING license of new signing
Real Madrid could suspend Arda Guler's license until January because of his injury, according to Spanish media.
Los Blancos managed to beat out fierce competition from Barcelona to land the Turkish wonderkid in a deal that ultimately set them back €20 million. It appeared to be money well spent as the 18-year-old immediately took to Real Madrid training like a fish to water.
The youngster then suffered a seemingly innocuous injury, however. Initial expectations were that he would merely have to sit out the friendly Clasico against Barcelona - which Madrid went on to lose 3-0 - due to a minor muscle strain, but medical examinations have now revealed a much more serious problem.

As it turns out, Guler has suffered an injury to the inner meniscus of his right knee and could be set for several weeks on the treatment table.
Guler to be sidelined
The club will now have to make a decision on whether surgery will be required, though they will first wait and see how the injury develops. Even without surgery, Guler could miss up to twelve weeks of action with LaLiga set to kick off on August 12.
If a trip to the operating room will be required, the youngster would be set for an even lengthier spell on the sidelines. According to Mundo Deportivo, he could be out for five months, which may prompt Real Madrid to unregister him in order to free up a roster spot until January.

In the winter transfer window, they could register Guler again. The General Regulations of the Spanish federation allow for precisely this scenario, stating in Article 133: "Clubs may cancel a professional's license for quota purposes by providing a document respecting the contract conditions. In these cases, the footballer will be allowed to be discharged during the same season in the same team that has discharged him."
