Barcelona set to sign ANOTHER Brazilian wonderkid
Barcelona are on the verge of signing another Brazilian wonderkid in the form of Flamengo youngster Petterson Novaes, according to Spanish media.
Brazil has been a happy hunting ground for the Blaugrana. After lengthy negotiations with Athletico Paranaense that dragged on for seemingly months on end, Barcelona finally managed to sign highly-rated 18-year-old striker Vitor Roque earlier in the window.
Roque is set to join up with his new Catalan teammates in 2024 and he could very well be joined by his compatriot Petterson Novaes. The Flamengo striker is reportedly on the verge of joining the Blaugrana, according to Spanish media, in a move that has come out of nowhere.

Barca seal another transfer
According to Sport, the 19-year-old will initially join the Barcelona reserves on loan with a purchase option in the region of €3-4 million. Petterson has racked up seven goals for Flamengo's U20s this calendar year.
Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has backed up this reporting, writing on Twitter: "Barcelona are closing in on [a] deal to sign 2004 born striker Petterson Novaes from Flamengo — he’ll join Academy sides. Agreement on the verge of being sealed on [a] €3m fee."
The youngster has reportedly impressed the Blaugrana hierarchy with his technical ability and speed, often opting to move out wide to the left before cutting back inside to gain a shooting angle on his strong right foot.

In Barcelona, he will join up with Barca Atletic in the Spanish third tier, currently coached by former Blaugranan player and Mexican national team star Rafa Marquez.
It remains to be seen whether this will be the last of Barcelona's summer signings. Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the Catalans will dip into the market for one more signing after sealing Joao Cancelo's loan deal, with many believing that this second transfer will involve former Chelsea loanee Joao Felix.
