Barcelona reach transfer AGREEMENT for €127m man

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement for the transfer of Joao Felix, according to Spanish media.
A dream move will become reality, it seems. Joao Felix will be heading to Barcelona after all despite the Catalans' financial troubles. That is at least according to MARCA, which reports that the two clubs have agreed on a deal, though the specifics of the transfer were not revealed.
Felix did not train with Atletico this morning for 'personal reasons' and the expectation has always been that he would depart one way or another. If Barcelona had failed to strike a deal, the Atleti outcast would have headed to Saudi Arabia where he has plenty of suitors.

But it will not come to this, according to the above-mentioned report. The Spanish outlet reports that Felix is only waiting for the official announcement and then he will become a Barcelona player.
Failing upwards
Seeing Felix at Barcelona will be slightly surreal given that the erstwhile wonderkid has not managed to live up to his €127 million price tag at all since making the switch from Benfica to Madrid.
Though he showed glimpses of promise on loan at Chelsea last term, he was ultimately ineffectual and the Blues made the right decision in not making the move permanent - though they already messed up when they agreed to pay a huge loan fee for the attacker.

Despite continually underperforming, Felix could soon suit up for the Spanish champions - a dream move for him, as he revealed to Fabrizio Romano in July.
It remains to be seen if Barcelona will regret this signing given their still-dire financial situation as they are also trying to wrap up a deal for Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo while being unable to register all of their players due to LaLiga's stringent Financial Fair Play regulations.
