Romano drops EXCITING Lamine Yamal update as Barca take teen sensation to the ‘LIMIT’
Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal became Spain’s youngest international goal scorer on Friday when he netted La Roja’s seventh in a crushing 7-1 win over Georgia in Euro 2024 qualifying.
Luis de la Fuente’s side ran riot in Tblisi as a hat-trick from Alvaro Morata helped them to a crushing win that takes them a step closer to the finals in Germany next summer, although they remain a distant second in Group A behind Scotland.

While La Roja enjoyed a night to be celebrated against Georgia, the headlines were grabbed after 74 minutes by Lamine Yamal, who struck a left-footed shot from inside the box into the net to complete the rout.
By scoring, Yamal became Spain’s youngest-ever scorer at 16 years old and 57 days, further helping to cement his wonderkid status.

Lamine Yamal to sign Barcelona contract
His future at Barcelona, though, is not entirely secure but Fabrizio Romano has moved to assure fans that he is poised to sign a deal with the Catalan club.
“He’s the youngest player to ever play for the Spanish national team but also the youngster player to ever score for the Spanish national team,” he explained on YouTube.
“This boy is already doing special things with Barcelona’s first team. Xavi trusts him as part of the squad and Barcelona as a club are already preparing for the future with Lamine Yamal.
“There is an agreement between Barca and Lamine Yamal, with his agent Jorge Mendes, since July over his new contract.
“Everything is ready, everything is agreed and completed.
“The new contract will be valid until June 2026. This is the limit when a player is as young as Lamine Yamal, and in the future, of course, he will have many contract extensions.”
Yamal has already played four times with Barcelona in LaLiga, producing two assists in the process.
