Real Madrid provide latest update on Luka Modric to Saudi Arabia
Real Madrid CEO Jose Angel Sanchez has shut down rumours that Luka Modric will leave the club to join the Saudi Pro League in January as the Croatian continues to be linked with an exit.
Modric, 37, has been used in a rotation role by Carlo Ancelotti so far this season, with Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde and Toni Kroos all racking up more minutes than the former Tottenham midfielder this term.
As a result, his future at the Santiago Bernabeu has been questioned and both Inter Miami and Saudi Arabia have been touted as possible destinations for Modric.

The 37-year-old has expressed his dissatisfaction with his current role at Real Madrid and it seems likely that he will leave the club when his contract expires next summer.
However, Sanchez has played down reports that Modric is currently discussing a move away from the club.
He told Goal Arabic: “There are no official negotiations on the part of Saudi League officials to include Luca during next January, and we have no idea about his departure from the team at the present time.”

The Saudi Pro League has been linked with a move for Modric as they continue to handpick the best talents from Europe and bring them to Saudi Arabia.
But, a deal has not been agreed and Modric remains a Real Madrid player.
Messi wants Modric at Inter Miami
Predrag “Pedja” Mijatovic has told La Ser (via Mundo Deportivo) that Inter Miami want to sign Modric, whose Real Madrid contract expires at the end of the 2023-24 season.
“He has received offers from the MLS, from many teams and from Inter Miami in particular,” Mijatovic said. “Lionel Messi himself has personally been interested in the possibility [of Modric joining].”
Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba joined Messi at Inter Miami during the summer and the 2022 World Cup winner is now eyeing up a potential move for another La Liga star. Sergi Roberto has also been linked with a move to Inter Miami.
