Real Madrid make Mbappe ASTRONOMICAL take-it-or-leave-it offer
Real Madrid will make Kylian Mbappe a final take-it-or-leave-it offer - and they expect a quick decision from the Frenchman.
It is still unclear what the future will hold for PSG megastar Kylian Mbappe. The 25-year-old is out of contract in the summer and there has been little in the way of actual progress made by the Parisians in extending his deal.
As things stand, the Frenchman will be able to choose his next club in just two days' time, though reports suggest that he will not be rushed into making a decision. Indeed, some have claimed that he won't make up his mind until the spring. But this is an issue for Real Madrid.
After being left bitterly disappointed by Mbappe's 11th-hour U-turn in 2022, which left Los Blancos with egg on their face and saw him stay at PSG for two more years, the Spanish giants won't stand for these shenanigans again. According to MARCA, they will initiate contact with Mbappe's camp next week.
A final offer
The report goes on to say that if the response Los Blancos receive is positive, they will launch a final attempt to sign him. Real are desperate to get this deal done as soon as possible.
If things indeed come to pass as the Spaniards expect, they will offer Mbappe the same conditions to which he had already agreed in 2022: a net salary of €26 million and a signing-on fee of a whopping €130m.
However, the Spanish outlet also asserts that it is very much a now-or-never scenario for Real and Mbappe. The club won't allow for a repeat of the 2022 situation and "at 25 years of age, it will be a door that closes forever" for the Frenchman.
Real Madrid would be comfortable with moving on from Mbappe because his arrival is no longer deemed an "emergency" due to the "explosion" of Jude Bellingham since his €103m arrival in the summer.
