Barcelona expect €100m Bayern Munich bid for 'leading player'
Barcelona are reportedly expecting to receive a transfer offer from Bayern Munich for defender Ronald Araujo.
Araujo has developed into a key player at Camp Nou and is not someone that head coach Xavi would be happy to let go.
Given Barcelona's financial trouble, however, they may not be in a position to reject a lucrative deal.
Indeed, the Blaugrana believe that Bayern will place a bid of €100 million, according to AS.
That would surely be too much for the Catalan club to turn down, regardless of how important Araujo is to the team.
Araujo one of Barca's untouchables
At 24 years of age, Araujo is one of three players that Barcelona are looking to build around for years to come.
"Ronald Araujo, Pedri and Gavi are considered Barca's leading players in the medium and long term," writes Sport's Toni Juanmarti.
"In the Uruguayan's case, even in the short term, since he is already a club captain with a strong character.
I think we’re at the point where Araújo’s ball-playing is actually acceptable, and I honestly never expected to say that when he first broke through.

"Some years ago it was [Carles] Puyol, Xavi and [Andres] Iniesta, and now the club want to base the squad around these three figures."
Araujo is valued at €42.5 million by FootballTransfers' in-house algorithm, though it would take an awful lot more to pry the 'leading player' away from Camp Nou.
