Mbappe left 'unimpressed' by Real Madrid's transfer tactics
Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has been left ‘unimpressed’ by Real Madrid’s transfer deadline and is now exploring other options as he considers his future ahead of the summer window.
The France international has just six months left on his current deal at the Parc des Princes and he is seemingly ready to finally leave the club after seven years in Paris.
Of course, Mbappe snubbed interest from Real to sign a new deal at PSG in 2022, but there is a belief that he will now depart the Parisians in 2024.
However, while Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is desperate for Mbappe to join the club, the Frenchman is less convinced.
According to The Times’ Duncan Castles: “Mbappe is unimpressed by Real Madrid’s attempt to push him into signing a pre-contract agreement this month.
“The France superstar wants to further explore a range of sporting and financial options - including a free agency switch to the Premier League - before deciding where he will play next season.”
Real Madrid want Mbappe to commit to joining the club by mid-January in order to ensure they are not left empty-handed like they were in 2022. However, The Times have reported that Mbappe is not happy with Los Blancos’ approach and is not prepared to let them dictate terms.
Real Madrid desperate for Mbappe
This news comes following reports that the aforementioned Perez is doing everything possible to sign Mbappe. That is according to The Athletic, who have stated that Perez and Mbappe are in regular contact with each other as a move to the Santiago Bernabeu remains on the cards.
Liverpool are believed to be Mbappe’s most likely Premier League destination, although Todd Boehly has been linked with pursuing the Frenchman at Chelsea, while Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United would undoubtedly be keen if the opportunity arises.
Mbappe now has 25 goals in all competitions so far this season after he netted a hat-trick in PSG’s 9-0 win over sixth-tier Revel in the Coupe de France on Sunday evening.
