‘Mbappe to lead Real Madrid Ballon d’Or clean sweep’ - Media goes crazy for PSG star
Kylian Mbappe’s stunning display for PSG against Real Sociedad has been hailed by the world media – especially those desperate to see the France international play for Real Madrid.
Mbappe scored twice as Luis Enrique’s side claimed a 2-1 win over their opponents from LaLiga.
His first goal was breathtaking. Having accelerated into what appeared an impossible position, he checked back in a tight area before bending a shot into the corner of the goal.

His second owed to his blistering speed and impeccable timing. Latching onto a long ball over the top of the defence, he left the rearguard adrift before cutting into the box and firing a clever shot into the near post of Alex Remiro.
With Mbappe having opened the scoring in the first leg, he was the difference between the two clubs.
Now Real Madrid are looking forward to him arriving in Spain in the summer when his contract at Parc des Princes expires.

The media was particularly charmed by him.
France great Thierry Henry compared Mbappe’s action on the first goal to something manga character Captain Tsubasa might execute.
On CBS Sports, Arsenal’s record scorers said: “The last time I saw this gesture was in a manga: Captain Tsubasa. But here, it’s real, we’re not in a manga.”
Madrid media crazy over Mbappe
AS journalist Tomas Roncero, a long-time critic of the player said: “Mbappe was devastating. Especially when there were spaces.
“The trident of Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham will occupy first three places in the Ballon d’Or.”
AS added: “The conclusion is that at Real Madrid, they are rubbing their hands… and for two reasons.
“The first is the most obvious: in just three months, this footballer can be theirs. It's very, very, very close.
“A Real Madrid vs PSG quarter-final is the second reason why Los Blancos inevitably lick their lips. Because if that happened, it would be an absolutely historic match.
“Between that and the fact that Mbappe continues to amaze, the state of euphoria was justified. As we can testify: in Madrid, they are crazy about the player.”
Revelo similarly reported that “Mbappe justifies the obsession of Real Madrid” and 64.3% El Chiringuito’s voters believe that the 25-year-old is the best player in the world currently.
