Neymar to Barcelona: Romano reveals the TRUTH behind the return rumours
Fabrizio Romano has dismissed the sensational reports linking Neymar with a spectacular return to Barcelona.
The Brazilian megastar is currently nursing an ACL injury he sustained on international duty in late 2023, but that has not stopped his future from becoming the subject of heated speculation.
Despite having only joined Saudi giants Al-Hilal for a whopping €90 million last summer, the 32-year-old is frequently linked with an exit and he has admittedly done very little to dispel the rumours, having previously asserted that he wants to move to Major League Soccer in addition to returning to boyhood club Santos.

Indeed, Santos' president also recently fuelled the speculation by claiming that he held talks with Neymar and that he will come back to the club. In the last few days, another rumour began rearing its head, linking Neymar with a spectacular return to Barcelona. It was claimed that the Brazilian has his heart set on re-joining after speaking to president Joan Laporta.
Romano on Neymar to Barca
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, however, has been quick to pour cold water on this sensational gossip. The Italian has rubbished claims that Neymar or Barcelona are considering linking up again.
"According to my information, despite the rumours we had in the last 24, 48 hours, as of today in March [there are] no discussions, no contacts for Neymar to return to Barcelona in the summer," Romano revealed on his YouTube channel.

"Neymar is 100 per cent focused on his Saudi chapter at Al-Hilal, focused on recovering from his injury and then to play for Al-Hilal. So Neymar, at this stage, is not discussing with Barcelona about a comeback despite the usual rumours we are hearing about that."
To date, Neymar has only made five appearances for Al-Hilal, notching three assists and a goal.
