Barcelona may have suffered a decline since Lionel Messi’s departure, but the Blaugrana remain one of the biggest and most recognisable clubs in world football.

Some of the best players in history have played for the Camp Nou outfit, while their list of record goalscorers features some huge names.

Barcelona’s top 10 all-time record goalscorers

Lionel Messi is Barcelona’s record goalscorer with 672 goals in 778 appearances for the Blaugrana.

The Argentine superstar was instrumental to Barcelona’s success in the late 2000s and the 2010s, while he won seven of his eight Ballon d’Ors during his time at Camp Nou.

Cesar Rodriguez is the Blaugrana’s second-highest goalscorer of all time. He netted 232 goals in 351 games for the club between 1942 and 1955. The Spaniard was Barca’s record goalscorer until Messi exceeded his total with a hat-trick against Granada in 2012.

Luis Suarez is third on the list thanks to his tally of 198 strikes in 283 matches. The Uruguayan joined Barcelona following the 2014 World Cup and he won 13 trophies with the Blaugrana before leaving to join Atletico Madrid in 2020.

The fourth-highest goalscorer in Barcelona history is Laszlo Kubasla. He incredibly played for seven different national teams during his career and he spent 10 years at Barcelona, racking up 194 goals in 281 appearances.

Josep Samitier is fifth with 184 Barcelona goals, while Josep Escola is sixth with 167 strikes for the Catalan giants.

Paulino Alcantara scored 143 goals in 395 Blaugrana appearances, which is enough for seventh place on this list. He also scored an additional 264 goals in 264 friendly matches, but they don’t count towards his tally in competitive matches. Alcantara would be second, behind only Messi, if these goals were included.

Samuel Eto’o and Rivaldo are tied with 130 apiece, while Mariano Martin (128 goals) completes the top 10.
