Barcelona face €200m PSG threat as De Jong poses familiar problem
Barcelona are set for a busy summer transfer window, with rumours linking Lamine Yamal and Frenkie de Jong with a move away from the club, while Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva continues to be associated with a move to Camp No.
PSG have their eyes set on signing Lamine Yamal in the summer, with the Parc des Princes side targeting the 16-year-old with the money they will save as Kylian Mbappe leaves at the end of his contract to Real Madrid.
Le Parisien reports that Luis Enrique is “under the spell” of the winger and was impressed by the teenager even before PSG eliminated Barca from the Champions League – a tie in which the young attacker shone.

Although Barcelona have declared repeatedly that Lamine Yamal will not be allowed to leave for anything less than his €1 billion release fee, the report indicates that situation is not so clear club.
“A month and a half ago, the sum of €200 million was mentioned by the Spanish media,” Le Parisien states.
“It is in fact circulating in the corridors of PSG that this amount should be taken seriously.

“In addition to their economic strength, PSG have another ace up its sleeve: the agent of Lamine Yamal. The forward is represented by Jorge Mendes, who manages the careers of many Parisians, from Warren Zaire-Emery to Vitinha via Bradley Barcola, Marco Asensio, Manuel Ugarte and Goncalo Ramos.
“He has an excellent professional relationship with Luis Campos, the sports advisor.”
It is also stated that Bernardo Silva is once again a target for PSG, with the Portugal star still linked with Barcelona.
Indeed, Mundo Deportivo reports on Wednesday that Barcelona believe they can sign the Manchester City star and indicates the former Monaco star is ready to reduce his salary to move to Camp Nou.
Frenkie de Jong transfer latest
Barcelona, meanwhile, will look to move Frenkie de Jong on in the summer – but they face a familiar problem in this deal.
Sport reports that Barca have decided to sell the Netherlands star, but the player does not wish to depart. This echoes his stance when Manchester United were interested in him during 2022.
The Catalans will try to talk him into accepting a deal, but as one of the highest-paid players in the Barcelona squad, they do not face an easy task.
